Overview

When a woman with a troubled past meets a man who shares her pain, they find solace in each other's company, but when tragedy strikes during a burglary, the woman's reliance on her memory altering medication only grows stronger leading her to confront the truth about her loss.

My role
  • Sound design (ambience, foley, transitions)
  • Story writing (beats, pacing, tension build)
  • Cut notes + narrative clarity passes
  • Final polish for mood + continuity
Process
  • Intent: Define the emotional arc first (calm → doubt → pressure).
  • Structure: Tighten beats so every moment earns the next.
  • Sound pass: Use layers (room tone + accents) to guide attention.
  • Polish: Clean transitions, reduce noise, and sharpen impact moments.
Outcome
  • Created a clean, mood-forward soundscape that supports the story
  • Improved pacing and clarity through beat tightening
  • The Film won the best cinematography at Simon Fraser University Film Awards.
